Job Description
Salary: $100,000 - 125,000 per year Requirements:
- A minimum of seven years of experience in a relevant field, or an associate degree with seven years of related work experience.
- Proven knowledge of the construction, mechanical, electrical, or HVAC service industry.
- Familiarity with mechanical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.
- Experience integrating low voltage building subsystems using various industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet).
- Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Strong computer skills are essential, especially in drafting tools like Visio.
Responsibilities: - I will oversee Pre Sales Support and End User Support, focusing on the design, configuration, and operation of complete building low voltage systems, including fire and security systems, as well as other low voltage control subsystems.
- I will ensure the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of designs for field teams.
- I will develop complex software programs and engage in commissioning and troubleshooting to guarantee the effective operation of building control systems.
- I will create detailed documentation and submittals for customers, consultants, field installation teams, and subcontractors.
- I may join the Sales Team for job walks during the initial design phase.
- I will design and configure technically complex building control systems in line with contract documents.
- I am responsible for creating flow diagrams, sequences of operations, bills of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics as needed.
- I will develop and test software to ensure systems meet project requirements.
- I will coordinate the preparation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
- I will assist in the loading and commissioning of controllers as required.
- I will validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
- I will provide field change information to the project team for as-built drawings and software creation.
- I will keep management and stakeholders informed about job progress and any issues.
- I will assist in delivering site-specific training to owner/operators on the complete building control system.
- I will participate in release meetings with the project field team.
- I will conduct value engineering to achieve cost-effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Adherence to safety standards and a high level of employee and subcontractor safety is a priority.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least five years of experience, or an associate degree in a related technical field along with seven years of relevant work experience.
- An understanding of IP networking for building automation systems.
- Familiarity with the Tridium/Niagara Framework.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $100K to $125K, determined by the applicants education, experience, skills, and alignment with market data.
