SAINI SMILES, PLC is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team of dental professionals. The Dental Hygienist role involves a variety of dental hygiene responsibilities aimed at promoting optimum oral health care for our patients. This is not a remote job - our ideal candidate will be a local, hands-on professional eager to engage directly with patients and provide high-quality dental services in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cleaning accretions, calcareous deposits, and stains from teeth and beneath gum borders with specialized dental equipment.
• Examining lymph nodes under patients’ chins for signs of soreness or swelling as part of oral cancer screening processes.
• Recording and reviewing patient medical histories essential for tailored dental treatment plans.
• Noting signs of dental decay and disease for accurate diagnosis and treatment by dentists.
• Maintaining and ensuring proper functioning of dental equipment and x-ray machines.
• Examining and assessing the gums for signs of disease, sores, and other dental issues.
• Developing x-ray films to provide a comprehensive view of the dental structure and underlying issues.
• Sterilizing and sharpening dental instruments to ensure they are safe and effective for use in dental procedures.
• Applying preventive materials such as fluoride and sealants to protect teeth from decay.
• Collaborating with dentists and other dental professionals to provide top tier patient care.
• Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and maintaining a dental health regimen.

Dental Hygienist Requirements:

• An associate’s degree in dental hygiene from a recognized institution.
• Valid dental hygiene license issued by the state of Arizona.
• Current certification in CPR.
• Up-to-date immunization against Hepatitis B.
• Qualified to administer local anesthetics.
• Capability to operate x-ray machines.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal interactions.
• Comfortable handling varied computer-related tasks.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of oral hygiene and dental health practices.
