- Review project plans and specs, completing bid documentation checklists.
- Conduct take-offs and cost analysis with precision and speed.
- Collect vendor quotes and manage material pricing data.
- Input estimates and details into LMN (Landscape Management Network).
- Collaborate with PMs to refine cost assumptions and scope clarifications.
- Stay current on market trends, materials, and pricing strategies.
- Maintain clear documentation and records for all estimate-related activity.
- Occasionally perform on-site assessments to validate scope assumptions.
Qualifications - 1+ years of experience in estimating landscaping projects and sitework.
- Familiar with hardscape/landscape materials.
- Proficient in handling take-offs and bid packages for landscaping projects.
- Comfortable reading plans and collaborating with operations and field teams.
- Experience in construction estimating, landscape industry preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word; LMN software experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized and self-motivated with time management skills.
- Comfortable working independently in hybrid settings.
Performance Expectations - Key Deliverables
- Deliver accurate, complete estimates that reflect true project scope.
- Prepare complete bid packages for review within 48-72 hours.
- Maintain well-organized documentation and records for each estimate.
- Key Metrics
- 95%+ estimate accuracy vs. actual project costs.
- 100% bid readiness for internal review.
- 10-15 estimates prepared weekly (depending on complexity).
