ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Safe operation of the skid steer.
• Use skid steer to pick up bulk raw materials and load into the weight pan. Accuracy of the material and weight is the primary function.
• Periodically load raw materials into bins.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and preparedness of the raw material bins.
• Will operate a forklift periodically based on daily need.
• Daily housekeeping and periodic deep cleaning projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating a skid steer. Will have to demonstrate skill.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• None.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must know the all different types of raw materials used in blending fertilizer.
• Must be organized, self-motivated and can work independently.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Communicating with internal and external customers – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend.
• Mobility of arms – Must be able to reach, and use arms to manipulate small objects.
• Mobility inside the plant – Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Mobility of legs- must be able to get in and out of loader multiple times per day.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
• Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
• Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

• Must wear steel-toed boots.
• Recommended: Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, back brace, and safety attire as noted by the guides provided in specific areas. These will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
• Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations .
