Role Purpose

The Plant Supply Chain Manager, AO Phoenix is a key leader within the plant’s operations. This role serves as the single point of accountability for all supply chain-related activities at the site, ensuring seamless integration across supply chain functions. Responsibilities include supply planning, logistics, warehouse operations, and site-related procurement activities.

Collaborating closely with the Manufacturing & Engineering, the Plant Supply Chain Manager is a member of the plant leadership team and contributes to achieving the plant’s operational and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary liaison for supply chain matters within the plant leadership team.
  • Directs the on-site integrated planning team, oversees short-term planning execution, including production planning, MRP, DRP, and site planning master data.
  • Oversees logistics and related operations teams for efficient goods movement, storage, and distribution including overseeing site-related direct and indirect procurement activities such as guiding the procurement team on sourcing events, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
  • Collaborates with Corporate and Business Unit procurement teams to align activities with broader supply chain strategies as well as with Manufacturing, Finance, HR, Engineering, and IT departments to align on shared objectives.
  • Contributes to the Business Unit’s supply chain strategy by implementing site-level initiatives that enhance efficiency and resilience while aligning processes with the Business Unit strategy and site operational requirements.
  • Manage and forecast inventory levels, utilizing best practices for inventory optimization and management of slow moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Evaluates and recommends how to optimize the plant capacity, capability, and cost opportunities within the site to meet customer needs, program requirements, and delivery goals.
  • Leadership for plant SIOP process, ensuring process rigor for timely supply response and documentation of assumptions and decisions.
  • Champion at site for adoption of the Supply Chain digitalization roadmap including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or similar.
  • Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain operations and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Develops and mentors a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Operations, or related field. (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or manufacturing operations, with a focus on planning and execution.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Strong understanding of MRP, DRP, production planning, contract negotiations, and logistics/warehouse processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Proficient in logistics and warehouse management best practices.
  • Travel: Up to 10%

The range for this position is $130,166.00 - $178,979.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
