About The Role This is a Fixed Term contract until 26th February 2026 working 7 hours a week.
We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join the Fresh Futures project. This post is a fixed-term, part-time (0.2FTE) position for four months. The post holder will work within an interdisciplinary team spanning Psychology and Social Sciences at Swansea University and will contribute to a project focused on improving mental health and wellbeing through nutrition for foodbank service users. The role will involve supporting the co-design of an initiative to introduce fresh food produce into food bank provision in partnership with community stakeholders.
The successful candidate will assist with stakeholder mapping, facilitate virtual roundtable discussions, and maintain accurate records of meetings to ensure timely progress of the initiative and completion of actions. They will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a local foodbank organisation, working alongside the project’s lead and co-lead researchers, and to engage with a wide network of experts across multiple sectors.

Welsh Language Skills
The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
