Job Description: Monday – Friday Full-time position 8:00AM-4:00PM IN-PERSON
· Meet potential clients, measure existing homes and transfer into our drawing program, Chief Architect.
· Space plan and design floor plan layouts customized to match client needs, then present these designs to the clients.
· Schedule meetings, presentations, and job site visits.
· Work with clients through all stages of the project influencing design, material and products selections, budget/estimating and construction.
· Assist in compiling estimates for remodel projects using Microsoft Excel.
· Complete construction documentation and applications to pull permits for jobs.
· Proactively order materials and products for upcoming jobs.
· Maintain A Better Home’s online presence including Facebook, Pinterest, Houzz, Google My Business, and updating the company website using Wordpress.
Knowledge & Skills:
· Degree in Interior Design or 4 yrs experience in Interior Design or Architecture.
· NCIDQ certification is a plus but not required.
· 3D rendering experience such as Chief Architect, Revit, AutoCAD or similar.
· BIG PLUS if you have Chief Architect experience!
· Residential construction knowledge a plus!
· Take ownership of given assignments and be self-directed to produce designs for remodel projects.
· Strong ability to multi-task across multiple projects simultaneously with active prioritization.
· Excellence in all communications (oral, written and graphic) with attention to detail.
· Capable of visualizing space in 3D and expressing design through quick sketches and CAD renderings.
