What you'll be doing
As the Sr. Manager, Medical Affairs, you will provide clinical/technical expertise to Baxter’s Global Infusion Systems and Patient Monitoring business unit, with knowledge for the entirety of the related portfolio. Critical to this role are the clinical knowledge of infusion practices, hemodynamic patient monitoring and IV fluid management, with the ability to offer guidance for product support and product development.
Provide high quality, evidence-based medical and scientific information upon request internally (e.g. Clinical development, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Legal) and externally
Maintain current familiarity of relevant/published medical literature so that information can be provided relating to clinical trends/potential impacts on the product lines
Develop a basic understanding/maintain current knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements related to R&D and product support.
Support Regulatory Affairs and Quality teams by providing clinical input into evaluation of product complaints/adverse events.
Provide clinical expertise for the creation/development and/or execution of training programs that support sales and marketing efforts.
Help manage and support global medical activities such as publications, advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings and educational forums
Provide medical and scientific expertise in assessing and interpreting publications and data
Translate scientific knowledge to support medical and commercial activities within the business unit
Use scientific evidence to evaluate and substantiate advertising and promotional claims
Develop and maintain peer–to–peer collaborations and relationships with medical and scientific experts
Serve as the medical affairs subject matter expert for sustaining product activities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with global and regional Medical Affairs and Commercial teams
Represent the global business unit in internal and external meetings as requested
Excellent medical writing and presentation skills.
What you'll bring
Clinically skilled, licensed health care professional in Nursing (preferably with experience in Critical Care) with 8+ years clinical experience
Experience within the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry and/or medical affairs is preferred
Knowledge of Baxter products, especially in Infusion Systems and Patient Monitoring is preferred

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $152,000.00 to $209,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location.
