Position Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for material handling of packing and shipping to customers, for employee's business-related shipping and inter-company correspondence.
Responsibilities
Maintain a file system throughout the day for the overnights, 2-day, 3-day shipments.
Assisting department with finding tracking #’s, calling customer service with tracking #’s.
May receive unsold products returned by DRIVER, SALES ROUTE and be designated Route Returner.
Maintain open communication with other Leads to coordinate daily tasks.
Perform all department tasks.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Flexibility with schedule; available to work overtime.
Physical agility and stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift (up to 60 pounds).
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of warehouse systems.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good math and reading skills.
Strong organizational skills; must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure clarity
Good problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Team player
Bilingual English/Spanish
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of colleagues
Previous experience necessary:
Previous distribution center/manufacturing experience (packing, receiving, return goods, etc.).
