This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a WordPress Developer in the United States.

As a WordPress Developer, you will take ownership of the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of a high-performing, user-friendly website that drives business growth. In this role, you will blend creative design skills with technical expertise to ensure a seamless digital experience. You’ll collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to implement campaigns, landing pages, and features while maintaining technical quality, scalability, and performance. Your work will directly impact customer engagement, conversion, and brand presence, while providing opportunities to innovate and stay current with web technologies. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on both functionality and aesthetics, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Accountabilities

  • Manage and maintain the website, from UX/UI improvements to WordPress development, content structure, and performance optimization.
  • Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to support new features, functionality, and integrations.
  • Ensure responsive design and accessibility standards across devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to implement campaigns, landing pages, and conversion-focused flows.
  • Apply SEO best practices in design and development to optimize site visibility and performance.
  • Monitor analytics and site performance to identify opportunities for improving user experience and conversion.
  • Integrate third-party tools and platforms (CRM, analytics, marketing automation) to enhance site functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with web design trends, WordPress advancements, and digital tools to drive continuous innovation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a WordPress Developer, preferably in fast-paced or growth-stage environments.
  • Proven ability to design and implement responsive, visually compelling, and user-friendly web experiences.
  • Strong expertise in WordPress development, including theme customization, plugin management, and site optimization.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript, with strong design sensibilities.
  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite for mockups and visual design.
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles and their application within WordPress.
  • Experience integrating third-party tools and marketing platforms to extend site functionality.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills to balance creative vision with technical execution.
