Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Cambridge, ON . Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• The Machinist responsible for setting up and preparing CNC machines for production runs.
• This role involves configuring the machine, selecting and installing tools, and ensuring the machine operates efficiently to produce parts that meet precise specifications.
• A deep understanding of machining, technical drawings, and CNC programming is essential.
• Interpret and analyze engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Set up Lathe machines by selecting and installing appropriate tools, fixtures, and attachments.
• Load raw materials into the machine, ensuring proper alignment and secure positioning.
• Input and modify CNC programs to match specific job requirements.
• Operate CNC machines to perform complex tasks such as lathe, drilling, and cutting from multiple angles and planes.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure precision and accuracy, making real-time adjustments as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or operational issues that arise during machine set-up or production.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians for more complex repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all produced parts meet strict quality standards and specifications.
• Document and report any defects or deviations from specifications, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and maintenance activities.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $25 - $27/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Direct Placement.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CNC programs.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in CNC machine operations, including tool selection, machine calibration, and program input.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Understands complex datum structures, including those for large weldments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical and operational issues.

Additional Information:

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
